Shawn DePauw

Hello! My name is Shawn DePauw and my medium is photography, specifically nature and wildlife photos. I’ve always enjoyed photography and seeing something ordinary captured in a new way. Over the last few years I found myself with hundreds of phone pictures from different vacations or day trips. Since then, I’ve purchased a camera/lenses and taken thousands more, while figuring out a lot of things through trial and error as I don’t have a formal art or photography education. It’s been great to capture the landscapes and things we live alongside, and has led me to find a lot of neat places! The experience of being active and out in nature seeing interesting things will always be my motivation – and the bonus has been sharing with others who may find joy in the photos too.

Here are some favorite photos from a recent road trip out west!
